Founder and CEO, The Center for Advancing Innovation
Rosemarie Truman is an entrepreneur, growth strategist, distinguished corporate executive, angel investor and prolific startup catalyst. Currently, Rosemarie is the Founder and CEO of the Center for Advancing Innovation (CAI), a 501c3 non-profit which has been coined “Tinder for Startups” and “Shark Tank on Steroids.” CAI’s mission to identify breakthrough inventions and maximize their commercial potential.
Under Rosemarie’s leadership, CAI has earned numerous awards and recognition from Health and Human Services, the White House, the Federal Laboratory Consortium and more. CAI has also been featured in the Washington Post, Wired, Huffington Post, Nature, and several other publications.
Rosemarie’s specialty is growth and investment strategy, having led growth strategies for 50 of the global Fortune 100 companies in over 15 countries. The strategies that Rosemarie led have resulted in $300+ billion in “net new” top line yearly revenue and 190+ new products on the market.
Prior to launching her own firm, Rosemarie spearheaded IBM’s Innovation strategy practice globally. At IBM, she was awarded IBM’s most laudable honor, the Golden Circle Award. In addition, she has also held notable leadership roles at Booz Allen Hamilton, Oracle, PRTM, and Marsh & McLennan, where she served as VP of global strategy. Rosemarie began her career at Goldman Sachs. Her core competencies are in leadership, strategy consulting, investment banking and entrepreneurship.
In her spare time, Rosemarie also writes for Forbes and sits on company boards.

Lisa Morales-Hellebo is passionate about helping fashion tech and supply chain startups achieve industry adoption and growth.
As a VC, seasoned entrepreneur, product strategist, and community builder, Lisa knows what it takes to spot and coach a winning team — backed by 25 years of working with startups to F500s on strategy and execution across branding, product development, and innovation.
Lisa is currently co-founder of The Worldwide Supply Chain Federation, an organization that is changing how supply chain professionals learn about, collaborate, and adopt supply chain innovation around the world. The New York Supply Chain Meetup is its founding chapter, attracting hundreds of attendees from around the globe to its monthly events.
She is also co-founder and general partner of REFASHIOND Ventures — an NYC-based, early-stage supply chain technology venture fund that invests in startups refashioning global supply chains. Lisa founded and launched the New York Fashion Tech Lab in 2014, with Springboard Enterprises and the Partnership Fund for NYC while serving as Executive Director for the first year. Lisa’s previous fashion tech startup, Shopsy, raised capital and participated in TechStars after she was selected as one of the Top 10 Women in DC Tech.
Lisa is an active advocate for organizations that help minorities gain access to opportunities for funding, championship, and growth. She serves on the Advisory Board of Puerto Rican accelerator, Parallel18; the luxury resale site, LePrix; and the Board of Directors for The Center for Advancing Innovation.
A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Lisa has been featured in numerous publications and media outlets, and is profiled in the bestselling book; Disrupters: Success Strategies from Women Who Break the Mold. A distinguished speaker Lisa has keynoted numerous events and participates in panels covering technology, supply chain, logistics, venture capital, fashion tech, women in tech, diversity, and more.

Pete Thurlow is an experienced patent lawyer, focused on presenting strategies to help protect inventors, small businesses, and multinational corporations’ intellectual property rights. Pete’s practice involves the full spectrum of patent law.
Pete was the President of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA) in 2018-2019, the primary intellectual property law association in New York with more than 1,000 members. Based on Pete’s extensive experience working on matters at the USPTO, he served on the USPTO’s Patent Public Advisory Committee (PPAC) from 2012 to 2018 based on an appointment from the U.S. Secretary of Commerce. The PPAC includes nine experienced patent practitioners that advise the Undersecretary of Commerce and Director of the USPTO on USPTO patent policies and procedures. The PPAC provides an annual report to the White House, U.S. Commerce Department, House and Senate Judiciary Committees, and the USPTO.

Robert Berg knows how to lead new solution commercialization and deliver incremental revenue results for your business. He has been “the head of the spear” as a leader responsible for launching, commercialization and speeding adoption of data solutions for over 15 years. Robert has been using a hands-on approach to help organizations better use data, measurement, advanced analytics and data tools to drive revenue and profits through a companies’ sales and marketing processes. He has been working with hundreds of clients – large, medium and startup – (e.g., PepsiCo, Safeway, Campbell’s, KeHE, Insignia Systems, MMI, etc.) and has personally trained thousands of professionals. Robert has worked at IRI, IBM, PwC and founded his own companies. He serves as an advisor to Center for Advancement of Innovation, Norwalk Powder Metal Manufacturing and other companies. He has an MBA from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and undergraduate degree from University of Michigan.

Sheri Sobrato Brisson, eldest daughter of John and Sue Sobrato, is passionate about working with children facing serious illnesses and their families. She is the founder of Digging Deep Project, co-author of Digging Deep: A Journal for Young People Facing Health Challenges, and creator of Shadow’s Edge — a mobile game for teens with medical conditions.
Sheri is a member of The Philanthropy Workshop, a Dame of Honor of the Knights of St. John, and an alumna of the Pipeline Fellowship. She holds a B.A. from Stanford University and an M.A. from Santa Clara University.
Senior Director, Life Sciences/Technology Transfer, NYU Langone Health
Dr. Sadhana Chitale is the Senior Director of Life Sciences/Technology Transfer. Sadhana joined the Office of Industrial Liaison at New York University in 2001. Her primary area of responsibility is the management of intellectual property and technology transfer matters (Life Sciences). Sadhana received her PhD from the University of Mumbai and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. She did her post-doctoral fellowships at Colorado State University and Weill Cornell Medical School. She is a Certified Licensing Professional and a registered patent agent. Prior to joining NYU, Sadhana was a Licensing Manager at the Weill Cornell Medical School.
